Addagio uses 10 business types to configure what your booking page looks like and how it behaves. Your business type determines which page sections appear, what catalog type is used, what booking flow customers follow, and how time selection works.
The 10 business types
Salon
For hair salons, barbers, nail salons, spas, and beauty businesses. Shows staff selection, date/time picker, reviews, and FAQ. Catalog type: services. Flow: appointment with exact time slots.
Hotel
For hotels and accommodation providers with room types. Shows hero image, date range picker, reviews, and FAQ. Catalog type: rooms. Flow: rental with date range selection.
Shop
For retail businesses, boutiques, jewelry stores, art galleries, bakeries, and flower shops. Shows product catalog with cart and checkout. No date/time picker or staff. Catalog type: products. Flow: checkout.
Event
For concerts, festivals, and live events. Shows hero, lineup/schedule, location, and FAQ. No reviews or date/time. Catalog type: lineup. Flow: request.
Food
For restaurants, cafes, and bars. Shows hero, menu, date/time (time windows), reviews, and FAQ. Catalog type: menu. Flow: table booking.
Portfolio
For photographers, models, makeup artists, videographers, and DJs. Shows portfolio gallery, reviews, and FAQ. No date/time or staff. Catalog type: portfolio. Flow: booking request.
Home Service
For plumbers, cleaners, renovation contractors, and mobile service providers. Shows services, date/time (time windows), reviews, and FAQ. No staff selection. Catalog type: services. Flow: request with time window.
Rental
For vacation rentals, villas, apartments, and cottages. Shows hero, property details, date range picker, reviews, and FAQ. Catalog type: rooms. Flow: rental with date range.
Wedding
For wedding venues and planners. Shows hero, vendor listing, staff/coordinators, date picker, portfolio, reviews, and FAQ. Catalog type: vendors. Flow: wedding.
Conference
For conferences and professional events. Shows hero, agenda/speakers, speaker profiles, location, and FAQ. No reviews or date/time. Catalog type: agenda. Flow: register.
How your type is determined
When you create your page, you choose a business type. After that, Addagio resolves the exact page configuration based on your marketplace category, template flow type, and what data you have (products, portfolio, properties, services, staff). For example, a vendor in the SHOPS marketplace category automatically gets the Shop configuration.
Changing your business type
You can change your business type from Dashboard → Settings. The new type takes effect immediately and changes which sections appear on your page.
