Addagio uses Stripe Connect (Express accounts) to process payments. When a customer pays, the money flows through Stripe directly to your bank account, with Addagio's platform fee deducted automatically.
How Stripe Connect works
Addagio creates a Stripe Express account on your behalf. This means:
Step-by-step setup
- Business type (individual)
- Email address (pre-filled from your Addagio account)
- Business information and address
- Bank account details for payouts
- Identity verification (government-issued ID)
If onboarding is fully completed (charges and payouts enabled), you see a "Connected" confirmation. If you left the onboarding incomplete, you see an "Incomplete" message and can restart by clicking "Connect Stripe Account" again.
What happens after connecting
Once your Stripe account is active (both charges_enabled and payouts_enabled are true):
Current state: pay-at-venue
Online payment processing via Stripe is available but currently most bookings default to pay-at-venue mode. In this mode, bookings are confirmed immediately without collecting payment online. The customer pays when they arrive. Stripe payment collection is activated per-vendor when they onboard with their Stripe account.
Checking your connection status
From Dashboard > Billing, you can see:
Disconnecting
Stripe connections are managed through your Addagio account. Pending payouts will still be processed even after disconnecting. Contact support if you need to disconnect your Stripe account.
